Olam Shalem

Olam Shalem

Recommended for:
Olam Shalem is recommended for students in grades 1-5 looking to strengthen their connection to Jerusalem through interactive media, animated videos that incorporate and describe background imagery of Jerusalem, printable games, international contests and other games, and designing posters and other materials to share what they’ve learned from the site.
The Olam Shalem website is a web-based platform for teaching and learning. The site was launched in April 2018 to serve both students and teachers, with the goal of strengthening the connection of Jewish children throughout the world to Jerusalem via learning and positive encounters and experiences.
Lesson plans for elementary-school classes are available on the website. These lesson plans include: a detailed description of the lesson’s elements, a short animated film that incorporates background imagery of Jerusalem, and supplemental materials such as computer presentations, printable games, and more. The student portal on the site offers challenging educational opportunities, through which children can learn more about Jerusalem, take part in activities and trivia contests, and connect with other children from all over the world.
