The Matan Bellows Eshkolot Institute for Tanakh and Jewish Studies is ideal for women starting or continuing their careers in Jewish education and for experienced teachers who want to enrich their knowledge and sharpen their skills. A Bachelors’ Degree and knowledge of Tanach and Hebrew are necessary to be accepted. The program is a year-long Master’s program, training female Jewish educators to become master teachers and leaders in Jewish schools in the Diaspora. The Eshkolot curriculum includes courses in Tanakh and Parshanut, Torah Sh’Beal Peh, and Jewish Thought. The learning takes place at the MATAN center in Katamonim, in Jerusalem, four days a week. A large knowledge base of Hebrew, Biblical, and Rabbinic texts is necessary to participate. The program can be largely subsidized. Focuses of the program are:

• Thorough pedagogy in how to teach Tanach, Jewish history, Mishna, Gemara, and general Jewish Studies subjects. 
• Bridging thematic topics in Jewish Studies that create a Jewish holistic learning environment. 
• Learning from inspiring instructors, such as Dr. Bryna Levy and Shani Taragin, who are experts in the field.
