Zelikow School of Jewish Non-Profit Management

Zelikow School of Jewish Non-Profit Management

The Zelikow School of Non-Profit Management brings together future professional colleagues to learn from each other and to develop their Jewish professional networks.  This program is for educators who want a handle on the management side of non-profit organizations. It is spread out over two summers in Los Angeles, CA. This program is for leadership, management, and Jewish community building. It is not a teacher training program. Participants report positive experiences with invaluable education in non-profit management.

The school is a transformative gathering place for nonprofit leaders to learn and collaborate. The Zelikow school uses creative problem solving to spark innovative solutions to today’s Jewish nonprofit challenges.

Zelikow students are activists, intellectuals, artists, musicians, engineers, rabbis, social workers, educators, and policy wonks that include Dual degree students at USC, as well as students concurrently enrolled in the Education and Rabbinic programs at HUC-JIR.

Our faculty and community of practitioners include business entrepreneurs, executive directors of Jewish organizations, and Scholars-In-Residence that have included the likes of Stosh Cotler of Bend the Arc, Abe Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League, John Ruskay of the UJA-Federation New York, and Ruth Messinger of American Jewish World Service.

The Zelikow School takes a Silicon Beach attitude to push education outside of the classroom, making it hands-on and project based, ensuring students acquire the skills needed to get the job and do the job effectively.

They have a variety of certificate and Master’s degree programs for Jewish educators. Check here for more information.
